1. Agreement to terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Parse for Artisans (the “Service”), operated by Parse for Artisans (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. The service

Parse for Artisans provides a document parsing API that converts uploaded documents into Markdown and other structured output. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service without notice or liability.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process content you do not have the right to process.
• Upload material that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Resell or redistribute the Service in a way that competes with it without our written permission.
• Exceed the rate limits or usage allowances of your plan in a manner that degrades the Service for others.

5. Plans, credits, and payment

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Usage is measured in credits as described on our pricing page. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change our prices on a prospective basis with reasonable notice. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Service.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents and data you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

8. No warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that parsing output will be accurate or complete. You use the Service and rely on its output at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
